Alloy 904L Stainless Steel Plate is a highly alloyed austenitic stainless steel strip characterized by its extremely low carbon content. It has been specifically engineered to excel in environments with severe corrosion challenges, particularly in dilute acidic conditions. This stainless steel alloy features a substantial chromium content and an ample supply of nickel. The addition of copper enhances its resistance to strong acids, especially in scenarios involving chloride-induced crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking. It exhibits exceptional resistance to pitting and cracking, surpassing the performance of many other steel grades. Additionally, it offers good machinability and weldability. In its solid solution state, Alloy 904L is non-magnetic.
