Welding requirements for mirror stainless steel plate and brushed stainless steel plate

2023-04-11
Mirror stainless steel plates and brushed stainless steel plates have very high requirements for welding marks. Users generally require that no marks can be seen on the back after welding, which is difficult to achieve.

When the stud is welded, the instantaneous strong current will melt the metal at the tip of the stud. Although the tip is small, it can generate a high temperature of several thousand degrees Celsius in an instant. , the duration of the whole process is less than 1 second.

However, thermal expansion and contraction will occur even in a short period of time, and the plate will produce very subtle thermal deformation. Such micro-deformed mirror panels and brushed panels are difficult to cover up, and can be found by careful inspection under the light.

  solution:

1. Increase the thickness of the plate: After experiments, we found that welding M3-M4 stainless steel studs on the mirror plate with a thickness of 4mm can basically avoid deformation. The degree is different, here refers to no deformation, no deformation can be seen from any angle).

2. Re-grind and polish after welding.
