Summary of mirror polishing bright treatment methods for stainless steel plates

2022-12-05
When we process stainless steel plates, we generally use mechanical polishing, chemical polishing, electrochemical polishing and other methods to achieve mirror stone luster according to the complexity of stainless steel products and user requirements. The advantages and disadvantages of these three methods are described below:
Mechanical polishing: good leveling, high labor intensity, serious pollution, complex parts are difficult to process, gloss decline, high investment and cost, simple workpieces, medium and small products, and complex parts cannot be processed. The gloss of the whole product is not consistent, and the gloss does not last for a long time.
Chemical polishing: less investment, complex parts can be polished, high efficiency, fast speed, insufficient brightness, polishing liquid needs to be humidified, gas overflows, wind-adapted equipment is required. Complicated products and products with low brightness requirements can be processed in small batches, which is more cost-effective.

Electrochemical polishing: achieve mirror gloss, long-term maintenance, stable process, less pollution, low cost, and good pollution resistance. The one-time investment is large, and complex parts need to be equipped with tooling and auxiliary electrodes. Mass production needs to cool down and block products, and it is required to maintain mirror light and bright products for a long time. The process is stable, easy to operate, and can be widely popularized and used.
