Characteristics of Precision Stainless Steel Strips

2022-09-02
Generally, stainless steel and heat-resistant cold-rolled stainless steel strips with a thickness of 0.01 to 1.5 mm and a strength of 600 to 2100 N/mm2 are defined as precision stainless steel strips. The characteristics of precision stainless steel strips are as follows:
The width is below 600mm;
Thickness accuracy ±0.001mm, width accuracy ±0.1mm (Japan Toyo standard).
The surface quality can meet the needs of different users, such as 2B surface with roughness Ra≤0.16 mm, BA surface with roughness Ra≤0.05 mm or other special surfaces.
High mechanical properties are required, and low or high yield stress or strength can be specified according to different needs of users.

The grain size is uniform, and the grain size in the fully annealed state is generally controlled at 7.0 to 9.0. For hard products, the strength properties are very uniform, and the hardness fluctuates between ±5 to 10Hv.
